Baseball Drops Twin Bill to Bentley

Springfield, Mass. – The American International College dropped a pair of Northeast-10 games to Bentley at AIC Park Saturday afternoon. The Falcons took the opener 7-3 and shut down the Yellow Jackets 7-1 in the nightcap. AIC fell to 8-33 overall and 6-23 in the NE-10, while Bentley improved to 27-21 and 18-11.

North Andover, Mass. – The American International College baseball team rallied for five runs in the ninth inning to take an 8-7 lead, but lost it in the bottom half as senior designated hitter Mike Andre singled to score junior first baseman Matt Hogan to give Merrimack the win. The loss dropped the Yellow Jackets to 8-31 overall and 6-21 in the NE-10, while the Warriors improved to 18-26 overall and 9-18 in conference play.

South Easton, Mass. - Sophomore catcher #Anthony Arrichiello# (Yonkers, N.Y.) of the American International College baseball team was named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll after batting .526 (10-19) in a five game stretch last week. He also totaled six runs driven in and two doubles and went 3-for-5 with four RBIs in win over Saint Anselm.

Manchester, N.H. - The American International College baseball team ended a ten game losing streak with a 13-8 victory over Northeast-10 opponent Saint Anselm in game two of Saturday's doubleheader.  The Hawks held off the Yellow Jackets to win the opener 4-2.  AIC stands at 7-28 overall and 5-18 in the NE-10, while Saint Anselm is 15-26 overall and 10-15 in conference play.

The loss dropped AIC to 6-26 overall and 4-16 in the NE-10, while Franklin Pierce improved to 24-14 and 15-5.
