Glarius Rop (Eldoret, Kenya) placed third overall at the 2009 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship, hosted by the University of Southern Indiana, with a time of 30:32.4. He became American International College’s first-ever men’s cross country all-American with his third-place finish.

Glarius Rop (Eldoret, Kenya) was named the NCAA East Region Runner of the Year after placing first overall with a school-record time of 30:15.9 at the NCAA East Region Championship, hosted by UMass Lowell at Boston’s Franklin Park. The Yellow Jackets placed fifth in the team standings with 141 points, marking the four-year-old programs best finish to date at the regional.
