Springfield, Mass. – Redshirt freshman #Victor Kemboi# (Eldoret, Kenya) claimed first place with a time of 25:03, propelling the American International College men’s cross country team to a second place finish out of 12 teams at the WNEC Invitational. Freshman #Julien Devanne# (St. Sylvain D'Anjou, France) finished just behind Kemboi in second place in a time of 26:13.

Boston, Mass. – Freshman #Glarius Rop# (Eldoret, Kenya) placed first overall at the 2009 New England Cross Country Championship with a time of 24:22 at Boston’s Franklin Park. The race consisted of competitors from NCAA Division I, II and III institutions.

South Easton, Mass. – Freshman #Julie Collignon# (Orvault, France) of the American International College women’s cross country team and freshman #Glarius Rop# (Eldoret, Kenya) of the men's cross country team were both named the Northeast-10 Athlete and Freshman of the Week after leading the Yellow Jackets at the 37th Annual Shriners’ Invitational last week.

HARTFORD, Conn. – Freshman #Glarius Rop# (Eldoret, Kenya) won the Trinity College Invitational in a time of 15:35, 25-seconds faster than the second place finisher. As a team the American International College men’s cross country team finished in third at the season opener.

South Easton, Mass. - A total of 186 American International College student-athletes were named to the Spring 2009 Northeast-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, it was announced by the conference office. AIC had the fourth-most student-athletes on the Northeast-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Freshman #Brian Mulwo# (Kapsabet, Kenya) placed 21st overall with a time of 32:44.3 to lead the Yellow Jackets.
