New Orleans, La. – American International College women’s track & field throws coach Tanner Williams was named the East Region Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association after coaching two Yellow Jackets that automatically qualified for the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships.

Lowell, Mass. – Junior Terri Goldson (Ansonia, Conn.) was the runner-up in the high jump after clearing 1.89 meters at the New Balance Boston Twilight Meet at UMass Lowell Saturday. AIC’s 1,600-meter relay team clocked in with a winning time of 3:15.30, just 0.30 seconds shy of an NCAA provisional qualifying time.

South Easton, Mass. – Junior Maurice Calenda (Bloomfield, Conn.) and sophomore Dominic Smith (Bloomfield, Conn.) were named to the Northeast-10 Men’s Track & Field Weekly Honor Roll after leading the American International College men’s track & field team to a fifth-place finish at the 2010 New England Championships.

Sophomore Dominic Smith (Bloomfield, Conn.) won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.67 seconds after posting a time of 21.66 second in the preliminaries.
