During the 2005-06 season, Ensor served as assistant men's golf coach to PGA Class-A section pro Wayne Leal at Elms College.  He was also the assistant varsity golf coach for four years at South Hadley High School, where several players went on to play collegiate golf at the Division I and II levels.

Ensor also has an extensive playing background, as he is a former men's individual champion at The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley and has won several four-ball championships throughout Western Massachusetts.  Ensor possesses a four-handicap and has also officiated numerous junior golf tournaments.

A 1978 graduate of Assumption College, Ensor was a member of the baseball team and pitched for the Greyhounds.  After earning his B.A. in Psychology, Ensor graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 1982, earning his Juris Doctor.  A practicing attorney since 1985 who is a member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and United States District of Massachusetts bars, as well as courts of the First Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court, Ensor has operated his own law practice in South Hadley since 1999.
