Juana Garcia '96
Garcia was a four-year member of the women's
basketball team from 1992-96 and is considered the greatest female
basketball player to step on the hardwood for the Yellow Jackets.
Garcia finished her career as both the leading scorer (2,189
points) and rebounder (1,223 rebounds) in both AIC and Northeast-10
Conference history, One of just seven players in Northeast-10
history to receive First Team All-Conference honors three times
(1994, 1995, 1996), Garcia led the Yellow Jackets to their first
two NCAA Tournament appearances as a junior and senior. In March,
2006, she was named one of the 10 greatest players in Northeast-10
women's basketball history as part of the league's 25th anniversary
celebration.
