Ron Mattson '61 

Mattson competed in golf and ice hockey for each of his four years at AIC. Mattson would make his mark on the golf course following graduation. He captured the Northeastern New York sectional PGA championship and competed in the 1968 PGA Championship in San Antonio, Texas. A year later he competed at the First Home Professional Club Championship in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has also played in the Greater Hartford Open. Before his retirement in 2005, Mattson served as the head golf professional at three courses, including a 35-year run as the head pro at Longmeadow's Twin Hills Country Club from 1970-2005.
