AIC ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

Carolyn McGowan '00

McGowan is the only four-time All-American at any sport at AIC, garnering All-America honors in each of her four seasons (1996-99) on the softball team. McGowan holds numerous school records on the diamond, including career home runs (44) and runs batted in (186). She was also a four-time First Team All-Northeast-10 selection and was the league's Rookie of the Year in 1996. Over her four-year career the Yellow Jackets posted a record of 139-59 (.702) and made four NCAA Tournament appearances, including back-to-back Northeast Region championships and trips to the Division II World Series in 1996 and 1997.

She would go on to play semi-professionally following her brilliant career with the world-renowned Brakettes in 1999. She is currently employed as a Senior Support Analyst by Thomson Financial in Boston and resides in the Boston area.
