Tom Mullen '78
Mullen is AIC's all-time leading scorer in ice
hockey, registering 248 points (134 goals, 114 assists) over a
four-year career from 1974-78. He owns three of the top eight
single season goal scoring marks in school history, including a
school-record 40 goals in 21 games during the 1974-75 season. His
134 career goals are also a school record. A native of New York
City Mullen skated on the famed "New York Connection" line with
Bill Condon and Edgar Alejandro that posted 81 goals and 111
assists in 1974-75 and featured three of the top seven scorers in
school history. Mullen's teams went a combined 63-33-1 over his
career.
Mullen would go on to play professionally for seven seasons with
several teams including the Grand Rapids Owls, Richmond Rifles and
Salem Raiders. He enjoyed most of his professional success with the
Raiders, being named team MVP in 1982-83 after totaling 37 goals
and 40 assists for 77 points. He ended his professional career with
143 goals and 154 assists for 297 points.
