Colchester, Vt. – The American International College men’s soccer team tied Saint Michael’s 0-0 on Saturday afternoon. With the tie the Yellow Jackets record moves to 3-8-3 on the year and 1-5-3 in the Northeast-10, while the Purple Knights record becomes 6-6-2 on the season and 3-4-2 in the conference.
After playing 110-minutes freshman goalie
Joe Ferrentino (East Longmeadow, Mass.) made just three saves to preserve the tie for AIC, while his counterpart, junior Jason Burnett (South Burlington, Vt.) also needed to make just three saves for Saint Michael’s.
The Purple Knights outshot the Yellow Jackets 10-9 and also had an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks.
Next up, AIC takes on Le Moyne in an NE-10 match-up on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
