Manchester, N.H. – The American International College women’s volleyball team improved to 9-9 on the season and 5-3 in the Northeast-10 after recording a 3-0 win at Saint Anselm Saturday morning. The Yellow Jackets have now won seven of their last nine matches. Freshman
Ellisha Terry (Fort Worth, Texas) tallied a match-high 15 kills with nine digs for AIC.
Sophomore
Kambryn Williams (Pomona, Calif.) had nine kills, six digs and four service aces and freshman
Kervelle Redhead (St. James, Trinidad and Tobago) registered 35 assists to go along with eight digs. Junior
Jenn Hormann (Forest Grove, Ore.) notched a match-high 16 digs. The Hawks (2-11, 0-7 NE-10) were led by freshman Rachel Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y.), who had four kills, three digs and 10 assists.
The Yellow Jackets hit .390 in the match, recording 43 kills with 11 errors in 82 attempts, and hit an incredible .571 (17 kills, one error, 28 attempts) in the second set. Saint Anselm had a -.022 hitting percentage in the match, registering just 15 kills with 17 errors in 89 attempts.
The Yellow Jackets return to action when they travel to Assumption October 18 for a 4:30 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
