2008-09 Men's Basketball Schedule
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men’s basketball team will open its 27-game 2008-09 season with a pair of non-conference games at Butova Gymnasium against University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (November 15) and Holy Family (November 16), it was announced by 10th-year head coach
Art Luptowski. The Yellow Jackets will take on five teams that made the 2008 NCAA championship tournament, four of which are in the Northeat-10.
AIC will open conference play against defending NE-10 champion and national semifinalist Bentley November 19 in Waltham and will play a home-and-home series with Merrimack – December 6 in Springfield and January 12 in North Andover. The Yellow Jackets will travel to Saint Rose January 3 and will have a home-and-home series with Assumption – January 8 in Worcester and February 7 in Springfield.
AIC will play an exhibition game at Division I Connecticut for the second time in three years November 7 at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut. The Yellow Jackets remaining non-conference schedule includes games against Dowling (December 13) and Bridgeport (December 20), both of which will be played at Butova Gymnasium.
The Yellow Jackets posted a record of 10-18 this past season, and placed 12th in the Northeast-10 with a mark of 7-15.
