South Easton, Mass. – The American International College football team was selected to finish third in the 2008 Northeast-10 preseason coaches’ poll as determined by a vote of the conference’s head coaches, it was announced by the conference office. The Yellow Jackets posted a 7-2 conference record in 2007, tying them with Southern Connecticut for second place in the final standings.
The Owls were picked to finished first in the preseason coaches’ poll and received seven of the eight first-place votes and Bentley was picked to finish second while receiving one first-place vote.
AIC, which posted an overall record of 7-3 last season, will open the 2008 campaign at C.W. Post August 30 at noon and opens conference play September 12 at Southern Connecticut at 7 p.m.
