With the tie the Yellow Jackets record moves to 1-1-1 on the season and 0-0-1 in the Northeast -10, while the Greyhounds moved to 0-1-1 for the year and 0-0-1 in the conference. Senior
Derick Ofori(Pawtucket, R.I.) scored the only goal for AIC with the assist from graduate student

The Yellow Jackets took an early lead when Ofori scored just 12 minutes in. They almost made it 2-0 when sophomore
Sean Stevenson (Holyoke, Mass.) was given the opportunity to attempt a penalty kick but had his shot saved by Greyhound goalie Brandan Sullivan (Halesite, N.Y.). AIC maintained its 1-0 lead until the final minute when freshman Scott Bucholz (Seymour, Conn.) scored with just nine seconds left on the clock to push the game into overtime.
Senior
Jon Thorpe (East Longmedow, Mass.) made nine stops for the Yellow Jackets, while Sullivan had seven saves for Assumption.
The Greyhound out shot AIC 16–15 and also had the advantage in corners 4–2.
