Middletown, Conn. – The American International College men’s and women’s cross country teams opened the 2008 season at the Trinity Invitational. The men’s team placed 10th of 11 teams. Freshman
Kyle Mackie (Amherstburg, Ont.) led the men’s team with a 63rd place finish in a time of 18:19, while classmate Jen D’Angelo (Watertown, Conn.) finished 63rd on the women’s side in 19:01.
Sophomore
Matt Hegarty (Springfield, Mass.) finished 90th with a time of 19:09 and junior
Malcolm Forbes (Queens, N.Y.) finished 97th in 19:20. Sophomore
Mikell Branch (Bloomfield, Conn.) finished 108th with a time of 19:45 and classmate
Michael Begansky (Amston, Conn.) finished 122nd in 20:20.
Sophomores
Sarah Beaudoin (Chicopee, Mass.) and
Eddrise Gaye (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished with respective times of 20:21 and 22:20. Sophomore
Lisa Rexon (Pinehill, N.J.) turned in a time of 28:59.
The Yellow Jackets will next compete at the Tufts Invitational September 13.
