Boston, Mass. – Freshman
Glarius Rop (Eldoret, Kenya) placed first overall at the 2009 New England Cross Country Championship with a time of 24:22 at Boston’s Franklin Park. The race consisted of competitors from NCAA Division I, II and III institutions.
The Yellow Jackets placed 37th of 47 teams and was missing two of its top runners. UMass Lowell won the team title, with each of its runners finishing in the top-35. UConn’s William Sanders was the individual runner-up with a time of 24:33.
Freshman
Julien Devanne (St. Sylvain D’Anjou, France) finished 176th with a time of 26:50 and senior
Malcolm Forbes (Queens, N.Y.) finished 284th with a time of 29:47. Freshman
James Denzine (Wiesbaden, Germany) finished 286th with a time of 29:56 and junior
Jared Torres (Dighton, Mass.) posted a time of 31:49, good for 301st.
AIC will next compete at the Northest-10 Championship October 25 at Saint Michael’s.
