Shane Murphy (Bogota, N.J.) and junior linebacker Terrance Holley (Bronx, N.Y.) of the American International College football team were named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll for their respective performances in last week’s game at New Haven.
Murphy completed 22-of-38 passes for 278 yards and had two touchdowns in his first start under center since the Yellow Jackets’ 2007 season-opener at Bryant. He tossed scoring passes of 25 and 61 yards. Holley registered eight tackles (six solo) with 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
AIC will return to action October 24 when it hosts Merrimack. The Northeast-10 contest will kick-off at 1 p.m. at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
