Men's Golf Sixth After Two Rounds at Connecticut Cup

Ellington, Conn. - The American International College men's gold team is in sixth-place out of 13 teams through two rounds of the Connecticut Cup, hosted by the University of Connecticut at the par-72 Ellington Ridge Country Club. The Yellow Jackets, who are the only non-Division I program in the tournament, shot a 296 in round one and a 306 in round two.

Junior Garrett Beyor (Monson, Mass.) is tied for sixth overall with a three-over par 147 (71-76), while junior Greg Strattner (Westfield, Mass.) and freshman Nate Pereira (Ludlow, Mass.) are tied for 13th with an eight over par 150. Both shot a 75 in each of their respective rounds.

Junior Kent Graham (Kamuela, Hawaii) is tied for 40th with a 13-over par 155 (25-80) and freshman Colin Dansereau (Ludlow, Mass.) has shot a 173 (87-86) though two rounds. Freshman Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) is 67th competing as an individual with a 170 (83-87).

The third and final round is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
