Nate Pereira (Ludlow, Mass.) of the American International College men’s golf team was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week after helping AIC to a tie for fourth-place at the Connecticut Cup. Junior
Garrett Beyor (Monson, Mass.) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Pereira shot a three-over par 75 in each of the first two rounds at the par-72 Ellington Ridge Country Club and followed that with a five-over par 77 in the third and final round, giving him a 227 and a 22nd-place finish. Beyor registered a six-over par 222 (71-76-75) to tie for seventh overall.
AIC will next compete at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship October 18-20 at the Captains Golf Club in Brewster.
