Thomas Denomme (North Smithfield, R.I.) scored 4:58 into the match to give the American International College men’s soccer team a 1-0 Northeast-10 win at the College of Saint Rose Wednesday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 7-8-0 overall and 4-5-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Golden Knights dropped to 2-11-1 overall and 1-8-1 in conference play.
Denomme netted his team-leading ninth goal of the season off a rebound and that was all senior keeper
Ryan Brooks-Newton (Selkirk, N.Y.) would need as her made four saves to earn the win in goal. Sophomore keeper Patrik Ohlsson (Sodertalje, Sweeden) made eight saves in taking the loss.
AIC will next travel to Saint Michael’s Saturday for a 1 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
