Taila de Souza (Cunupia, Trinidad & Tobago) knocked down 14 kills with just one error in 24 attempts for an impressive .542 attack percentage as the American International College women’s volleyball team easily defeated Millersville University 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-15) Sunday afternoon at Butova Gymnasium. The Yellow Jackets improved to 17-9 for the season, while the Marauders fell to 12-24.
Sophomore
Ellisha Terry (Fort Worth, Texas) registered a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs and junior
Keziah Kashouh (West Warwick, R.I.) added seven kills with four blocks. Junior
Alicia Smith (Bridgetown, Barbados) recorded six kills and eight blocks, while sophomore
Kervelle Redhead (St. James, Trinidad & Tobago) tallied 28 assists with four digs.
The Yellow Jackets tallied 41 kills with just five errors in 74 attempts for a .486 team hitting percentage and totaled 12 blocks. Millersville recorded just 19 kills in the match and had a -.036 hitting percentage.
AIC will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Saint Anselm in a 7 p.m. Northeast-10 contest at Butova Gymnasium.
