Colchester, Vt. – The American International College women’s cross country team placed 10th at the 2009 Northeast-10 Championship Sunday, hosted by Saint Michael’s College. The Yellow Jackets were placed by sophomore
Julie Collignon (Orvault, France), who placed fifth overall with a time of 19:05.0.
Stonehill College took the team title with five runners placing in the top-15, while Laura Brustolon (Southern Connecticut State University) took the individual title with a time of 18:03.8. AIC was just 10 points behind ninth-place Le Moyne College.
Junior
Sarah Beaudoin (Chicopee, Mass.) finished 37th with a time of 19:58.9 and sophomore Jenn D’Angelo (Watertown, Conn.) clocked in with a time of 20:08.3, good for 44th overall. Freshman
Ariel Ingoglia (Dover Plains, N.Y.) finished 146th with a time of 24:42.9 and junior
Lisa Rexon (Pinehill, N.J.) finished 141st with a time of 25:57.7. Freshman Ashley Aupont (Endicott, N.Y.) finished 152nd in 25:59.2.
AIC will next compete at the NCAA East Region Championship November 7, hosted by UMass Lowell a Boston’s Franklin Park.
