SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Lisa Duckles (Netcong, N.J.) of the American International College field hockey team was named to the WomensFieldHockey.com All-Rookie Squad for her performance in her first collegiate season. The Yellow Jackets finished the season with an overall record of 6-12, while also going 4-6 in the Northeast-10 conference. Duckles was also named to the NE-10 All-Rookie Team last week.
Duckles also started all 18 games in her first season at AIC and was second on the team in scoring with five goals and a team-best three assists for 13 points. She was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week after scoring twice in a 2-1 overtime win over Saint Michael’s.
The Yellow Jackets finished the season with an overall record of 6-12 and finished eighth in the Northeast-10 with a 4-6 mark in conference play. The Yellow Jackets’ six victories established a new school-record for wins in a season.
