Complete New England Football Writers Release
Boston, Mass. – Senior defensive lineman
Jashawn Williams (Roosevelt, N.Y.), the 2009 Northeast-10 Defensive Lineman of the Year, was named to the 2009 New England Football Writers (NEFW) Division II/III all-New England Team, it was announced by the NEFW.
Williams, who also earned first-team all-conference honors this season, was named to D2Football.com's Preseason Northeast-10 all-conference team after earning second-team all-conference honors a year ago. He recorded 42 tackles with 12.0 sacks and 14.0 tackles for loss. Williams led the NE-10 and ranked second in Division II with 1.27 sacks per game.
The all-New England team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Banquet December 10 at Casa di Fior in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
AIC went 5-5 in 2009 and finished seventh in the Northeast-10 with a 3-5 conference record.
