Cassie Ashwell (Agawam, Mass.) of the American International College women’s soccer team was named a second-team all-conference selection and junior forward
Sarah Boornazian (Farmington, Conn.) was a third-team selection, it was announced by the Northeast-10 office. Freshman midfielder
Bryony Parker (Leeds, England) was named to the all-rookie team.
Ashwell, who was a third-team all-conference selection last season, ranked third on the team in scoring with four goals and four assists for 12 points. She also netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Saint Michael’s.
Boornazian, who was named a second-team all-conference selection last season, led the Yellow Jackets in scoring for the second straight season. She started in all 19 games, scoring eight goals with three assists for 19 points and tallying four game-winning goals on the season. Her eight goals ranked her ninth in the NE-10 and her 19 points placed her 11th in the conference.
Parker also started in all 19 games in her first season at AIC. She was fourth on the team in scoring with three goals and four assists for 10 points. Her four assists tied her for the team lead.
The Yellow Jackets finished the season with an overall record of 7-10-2 and finished 12th in the Northeast-10 with a 4-9-2 mark in conference play.
