South Easton, Mass. – The American International College women’s volleyball team will be seeded seventh in the 2009 Northeast-10 Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament and will battle second-seeded Adelphi University Friday, November 13 at 5 p.m. The championship will be hosted by UMass Lowell.
The Yellow Jackets posted an overall record of 23-9 and finished in a five-way to for fifth in the conference standings with a 9-6 NE-10 record, along with Le Moyne, Pace, Southern Connecticut and Stonehill. The Panthers enter the conference championship tournament with an overall mark of 25-8, including a 14-1 record in conference play.
Adelphi registered a 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 27-25) victory at AIC in the only regular season meeting between the two teams September 26. The Yellow Jackets have gone 16-4 since then and are riding a nine-match winning streak.
