EASTON, Mass. – The American International College women’s lacrosse team fell to Stonehill 28-3 Thursday afternoon. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-5 this season and to 0-2 in the Northeast-10, while the win improves the Skyhawks to 3-1 on the year and to 3-0 in the conference.
Senior
Katie Warner (Westfield, Mass.) and sophomores
Kara Kirkland (Plymouth, Mass.) and
Alex Hudyka (East Longmeadow, Mass.) each tallied a goal for AIC.
Senior Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) tallied nine points on the day for Stonehill including five goals and four assists, while junior Liza Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.) netted three goals and dished out three assists for six points. Senior Mary Maloney (Great River N.Y.) recorded four goals and one assist in the win for the Skyhawks.
Sophomore goaltender
Gina Gallo (Westfield, Mass.) stopped eight shots for the Yellow Jackets, while her counterpart, senior Justine Ferland (Portsmouth, N.H.) made four saves in the victory for the Skyhawks.
