SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The American International College women’s lacrosse team lost to Bentley Thursday evening 21-4. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 3-8 this season and to 1-5 in the Northeast-10, while the win improves the Falcons to 8-6 for the year and to 6-1 in the conference.
Senior
Katie Warner (Westfield, Mass.), sophomores
Alex Hudyka (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and
Jena Kuhl (Throggs Neck, N.Y.), and freshman
Katie Carr (Florence, Mass.) each tallied a goal for AIC.
Senior Alyssa Ritchie (North Andover, Mass.) netted five goals and dished out two assist, while freshman Lauren Canepa (Hingham, Mass.) scored five times.
Sophomore
Gina Gallo (Westfield, Mass.) made 19 saves in the loss for the Yellow Jackets, while her counterpart, junior Christina Guglielmo (Fair Haven, N.J.) stopped eight shots in the win.
Next up, AIC plays host to Southern New Hampshire on Saturday at 12 p.m.
