Women's Lacrosse Drops Season Finale

COLCHESTER, Vt. – The American International College women’s lacrosse team lost their final game of the regular season 19-10 at Saint Michael’s on Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Yellow Jackets finish the season 3-12 and 1-9 in the Northeast-10, while the win improves the Purple Knights to 4-10 this year and to 4-6 in the conference. Senior Katie Warner (Westfield, Mass.) scored five times and assisted on another to lead the AIC offense in her final game.

Junior Morgan Mastronardi (Corunna, Ont.) and sophomore Alex Hudyka (East Longmeadow, Mass.) each tallied two goals and an assist, while freshman Katie Carr (Florence, Mass.) recorded a goal for the Yellow Jackets.

Senior Kim Berlo (Scituate, Mass.) led the way for Saint Michael’s netting five goals and dishing out an assist, while classmate Amanda Pelley (Mashpee, Mass.) registered four goals.

Sophomore Gina Gallo (Westfield, Mass.) made 19 saves in the loss, while freshman Sarah Palumbo (Guilford, Conn.) stopped nine shots to claim victory.
