Manchester, N.H. - The American International College women’s lacrosse team dropped a Northeas-10 contest to Saint Anselm, 19-7, Saturday afternoon. The loss dropped the Yellow Jackets to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in the NE-10, while the Hawks improved to 3-6 and 2-3.
Senior Michaela Rocha (Rye, N.H.) led the Saint Anselm attack with four goals and four assists to total eight points. Junior Tia Karon (Medford, Mass.) and sophomore Courtney Ford (Concord, Mass.) each tallied four goals for the Hawks.
Sophomore Kara Kirkland (Plymouth, Mass.) provided the bulk of the AIC offense with three goals. Classmate Alex Hudyka (East Longmeadow, Mass.) added a goal and an assist.
Sophomore goalie Katherine O’Hara (Norwell, Mass.) made eight saves in the in for the Hawks, while sophomore Gina Gallo (Westfield, Mass.) made 16 stops for the Yellow Jackets.
AIC returns to action Thursday at home against Assumption at 4 pm.
