HARTFORD, Conn. – Freshman
Glarius Rop (Eldoret, Kenya) won the Trinity College Invitational in a time of 15:35, 25-seconds faster than the second place finisher. As a team the American International College men’s cross country team finished in third at the season opener.
Sophomores
Brian Mulwo (Kapsabet, Kenya) and
Victor Kemboi (Eldoret, Kenya) finished in fifth and six respectfully, in times of 16:21 and 16:26. Rounding out the team were freshman
Julien Devanne (St. Sylvain D’Anjou, France), who placed 31st in a time of 17:13, and senior
Malcolm Forbes (Queens, N.Y.), who finished 72nd overall in a time of 18:36.
Juniors
Jared Torres (Dighton, Mass.) and
Mikell Branch (Los Angeles, Calif.) competed as individuals and finished in times of 18:53 and 18:55.
Next up, the Yellow Jackets head to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational next Saturday at 10 a.m.
