BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The American International College men’s golf team placed first out of 17 teams competing at the Northeast Intercollegiate Golf Championship hosted by Post University. The Yellow Jackets posted scores on 294 and 297 for a two-day total of 591, 15 strokes ahead of second place Wilmington (Del.).

Greg Strattner (Westfield, Mass.) and sophomore
Kevin Daniels (Anchorage, Alaska) tied for first individually with a two-day score of 144. Daniels was declared the individuals champion based on the result of the predetermined tiebreaking procedures.

Garrett Beyor (Monson. Mass.) placed fourth overall with round totals of 72 and 75 for a two-day score of 146. Freshman
Nate Pereira (Ludlow, Mass.) and junior
Kent Graham (Kamuela, Hawaii) rounded out the Yellow Jackets with scores of 160 (83, 77) and 165 (80, 85), respectively.
Next up, AIC heads to the Dowling Fall Invitational, beginning on Sunday.
