New Britain, Conn. – The American International College women’s cross country team placed fifth of five teams the Central Connecticut State’s Ted Owens Invitational. The Yellow Jackets were the only non-Division I team at the meet. Freshman
Julie Collignon (Orvault, France) placed third overall with a time of 18:29.09, tying her own school record.
Sophomore
Jen D’Angelo (Watertwon, Conn.) finished 16th with a time of 19:54.67 and junior
Sarah Beaudoin (Chicopee, Mass.) finished 20th with a time of 20:21.47. Freshman
Ariel Ingoglia (Dover Plains, N.Y.) finished 38th with a time of 25:05.43 and junior
Lisa Rexon (Pinehill, N.J.) clocked in at 28:26.64, placing her 39th.
The Yellow Jackets will next compete at the New England Championships October 10. The meet will be held at Franklin Park in Boston.
