EAGLES PUSH PAST BASEBALL 7-1

BOX SCORE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 11, 2007) - Eric Rovinetti finished 4-6 at the plate with a pair of RBI as visiting Post University collected 15 hits en route to a 7-1 non-league baseball victory over American International College at AIC Park Wednesday afternoon.  The Eagles improve to 12-15 overall while the Yellow Jackets now stand at 6-13 overall.

Besides Rovinetti, Dan Luisi and Chris Oulette each had three hits for Post, with Luisi driving in a pair of runs.  Mike Padovani also had a pair of hits for the Eagles, while Michael Wolfe took down the win by throwing seven-plus innings and fanning six while allowing six hits.

Dan Fey (Plymouth, Mass.) would collect two of AIC's six hits on the afternoon.  He would also drive in the Yellow Jackets lone run in the fifth inning when he singled after Dominic Meattey (Fitzwilliam, N.H.) led off the frame with a double.  Bryan Turney (Auburn, Mass.) went 1-4 on the afternoon for AIC to extend his hit streak to eight games.

Nick Noblit (Westfield, Mass.) took the loss for AIC, working the first 4.1 innings and fanning three while giving up six hits and three runs.

AIC returns to Northeast-10 action Thursday when it hosts Saint Rose in a 3:30 contest at AIC Park.
