BASEBALL BLANKED AT BRYANT 3-0

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (March 27, 2007) - Host Bryant University scored three times in the sixth inning to post a 3-0 win over American International College in Northeast-10 baseball Tuesday.  The Bulldogs are 10-9 and 3-0 in league play, while the Yellow Jackets are 4-4 and 0-1 in the league.

Bryant would generate all the offense it would need in the bottom of the sixth as it banged out six hits to piece together three runs.

Jeff Rustico (Plantsville, Conn.), Dan Fey (Plymouth, Mass.) and Nick Roeder (Berlin, Conn.) each had single hits for AIC as it was outhit 14-3.  Bryan Soltis (Plantsville, Conn.) took the loss on the hill, allowing 11 hits on the afternoon.

Brent Almeida went eight innings to pick up the win for Bryant, allowing three hits while fanning five.

AIC travels to Franklin Pierce Wednesday.
