HOLLEY COPS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK HONORS

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (September 11, 2006) - Terrence Holley (Bronx, N.Y.), a redshirt freshman on the American International College football team, was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week on Monday.  Holley was honored for his efforts in a 20-7 win over Bryant that made the Yellow Jackets 2-0 for the first time since 2001.

Holley, a linebacker, recorded seven total tackles, including 2.5 tackles for a loss, and a sack.  He also picked up a fumble by a Bryant receiver at the Bryant 10-yard line and ran it in for a touchdown with just under 14 minutes remaining in the game to make it 20-0.

For the season, Holley leads the Yellow Jackets defensively with 14 total tackles (seven solo) and also leads the squad with four tackles for a loss for 16 yards.

AIC returns to action Saturday when it hosts Bentley College in a Northeast-10 game at John Homer Miller Field.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 and the game can be heard on the Web at http://www.aicyellowjackets.com/ courtesy WAIC 91.9 FM.
