Field Hockey Bows to Bentley at Benedum 2-0

Armand (Danvers, Mass.) turned away six shots, but the Yellow
Jackets of American International College fell 2-0 to the Bentley
Falcons in a Northeast-10 showdown Tuesday evening on AIC's
new home turf, Benedum Field, at Springfield College.
Bentley pushed the ball up field all game, holding the ball for much of the contest, collecting two goals on seven shots. AIC couldn't capitalize on five scoring chances.
The Falcons didn't score their first goal until just over two minutes into the second-half when Danielle Marquis pushed in a shot after receiving a pass out in front of the net from Heather Buda.
Bentley would strike the back of the cage one more time just over 10 minutes after the first goal when Krissy Lanzillo entered the Yellow Jacket's zone and powered a shot by Armand.
Alyssa Sliney stopped three shots for the Falcons. Bentley earned a 11-2 advantage in penalty corners en-route to their second victory of the season.
With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-2 overall and in the
Northeast-10. AIC will visit Franklin Pierce Saturday, September
8th.
