West Springfield, Mass. (February 23, 2007).-  Jereme Tendler (Viceory, SK) and Frankie DeAngelis (Woodbridge, ONT) both scored in a 6-2 setback to Air Force in AHA action Friday evening. The loss drops the Yellow Jackets to 7-23-1 overall and 7-19-1 in the AHA. The win lifts Air Force to 15-15-5 overall and 12-10-5 in the AHA.

Andrew Ramsey skated in and scored his 19th goal of the year and the first goal of the game, on the power-play, at the 9:20 mark in the first-period. The goal was the only one of the first stanza. Both teams played aggressively. AIC reeled off 12 shots while Air Force got their goal on 11 shots in the opening frame. Ramsey had three points on the evening.

Air Force struck three times in the second-period taking a 4-1 lead going into the third. Brian Gineo scored the first goal for Air Force at the 6:38 mark. Andrew Ramsey scored his second goal of the game a little over six minutes later pushing the lead to 3-0 before Yellow Jackets junior Jereme Tendler (Viceory, SK) scored his 14th goal of the year on the power-play, with Jeremy Leroux (Lunenburg, ONT) and Frank DeAngelis (Woodbridge, ONT) assisting. Josh Print pushed in another Falcons goal with exactly three minutes left in the period to advance their lead going into the final period.

AIC would cut the lead to 4-2 on a power play when DeAngelis fired a shot from the left faceoff circle that went under sprawled out Falcon netminder Ben Worker at 5:39 that made it 4-2.  Leroux and Tendler assisted on the goal.  Air Force would reclaim a three-goal lead at 14:09 on a tally by Jeff Hajner, and the Falcons' Jay Medenwaldt scored with one second left to account for the 6-2 final.

Worker made 24 saves while Tom Fenton (Sarnia, ON) stopped 27 shots for the Yellow Jackets.

The two teams will meet to finish their weekend series tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm.
