JEREME TENDLER NAMED TO ATLANTIC HOCKEY THIRD TEAM

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 16, 2007) - Junior forward Jereme Tendler (Viceroy, SK) of the American International College hockey team was named an Atlantic Hockey Association Third Team All-Star Thursday night, it was announced at the annual AHA banquet held at the RIT Inn Thursday night.  Tendler becomes the third Yellow Jacket to garner All-Atlantic Hockey honors, as Guillaume Caron was a First Team selection in 2003-04 while goaltender Frank Novello was named to the First Team one year later.

Tendler led the Yellow Jackets in scoring for the second straight year.  Despite missing two games, Tendler recorded 15 goals and a career-best 13 assists for 28 points on the season.  Over the course of the season, Tendler scored four power play goals, two shorthanded goals and two game-winning goals to boost his career total to eight.  Earlier this season he notched his first career hat trick in a 6-1 win over Bentley, and lifted the Yellow Jackets to a 3-2 win over Connecticut in overtime on February 16.

Over his 90-game career, Tendler has registered 39 goals and 27 assists for 66 career points.  He has led the Yellow Jackets in goal scoring in each of his first three seasons and last season led the Yellow Jackets with 26 points on the strength of 15 goals and 11 assists.  Tendler also served as an assistant captain this past season.
