Pavli Signs with River Rats

Springfield, Mass. - The Albany River Rats the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Panthers announced that they signed American International College forward Mark Pavli (Sarnia, Ont.) to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO).

Pavli is tentatively scheduled to make his professional debut tonight when the River Rats square off against the Hershey Bears. Albany is currently third in the AHL's eastern division and sit sixth in the Eastern Conference. Their overall record is 37-26-2-4.

He was consistently one of AIC's best scorers and most talented players. In just his freshman year Pavli finished third on the team in scoring, totaling four goals and 11 assists. This season like last year, Pavli ended second on the squad in scoring. In his 2006-2007 campaign he totaled seven goals and 11 assists, while despite missing six contests this season he ended with 23 points off of seven goals and 16 assists.

For his career, Pavli finished with 22 goals and 45 assists in 113 games played.
