Tendler Signs with Port Huron Icehawks
Springfield, Mass. - The Port Huron Icehawks announced the
signing of American International College senior Jereme Tendler
(Viceroy, SK.) to a professional tryout yesterday afternoon. The
Ice Hawks are a member of the International Hockey League. They
currently sit in second place and are looking to extend a four game
winning streak when they take on the first place Fort Wayne Komets
this evening. Tendler is slated to make his professional debut.
In his four years with AIC, Tendler twice led the squad in scoring (2005-2006, 2006-2007). He finished his final collegiate season this year, grabbing a Third-Team All-Conference spot with 10 goals and 11 assists.
In all, he totaled 87 points off of 49 goals and 38 assists as a constant on the first-line of the Yellow Jacket attack. In 2006-2007, a junior at the time, Tendler notched eight multi-point games and led the team in scoring, power-play goals and game-winners.
Tendler will be reunited with former Yellow Jacket defensemen
Jeremy Leroux, who signed with the Ice Hawks after his senior
season, last year.
