MCNEIL NAMED DAKTRONICS ALL-NORTHEAST SECOND TEAM

ALBANY, N.Y. (March 8, 2007) - Senior forward Magen McNeil (Philadelphia, Pa.) of the American International College basketball team was named to the Daktronics All-Northeast Region Second Team, it was announced Thursday.  The Daktronics Division II all-star teams are selected by a vote of the region's sports information directors.

McNeil, who was a First Team All-Northeast-10 selection, led AIC in scoring and rebounding with averages of 15.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.  He currently ranks second in the NE-10 in rebounding and 10^th in scoring, one of just two league players to rank in the top-10 in both categories.  The league leader in offensive rebounds with 136, 30 more than the next highest player, McNeil lead AIC in scoring 15 times and rebounding 20 times while registering 15 double-doubles.  He led AIC to a 16-13 mark, its highest victory total in five seasons.
