Jaffrey, N.H. – The American International College golf
team placed first of five teams at the Franklin Pierce Autumn
Invitational, held at The Shattuck (par-71) Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Andrew Mesheau (Monson, Mass.) won the
individual title with a score of 76 to lead the Yellow Jackets.
AIC won the team title with a score of 317, edging the host
Ravens’ “B” and “A” teams, which
posted respcetive marks of 344 and 347. Worcester State placed
fourth with a score of 348 for fourth place and Springfield placed
fifth with a score of 377.
Yellow Jackets’ freshman Garrett Beyor (Monson,
Mass.) and Worcester State freshman Bob Bruso (Auburn,
Mass.) tied for second with a 77, while AIC sophomore Mike
McMillan (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) placed fourth after
shooting an 80.
Senior Sebastiano Amara (Woburn, Mass.) rounded out the top-five
with a round of 82 for Franklin Pierce’s “B”
squad. Junior Chad Richardson (Regina, Sask.) tied
for sixth with Franklin Pierce senior Corey Dunn (Port Jefferson,
N.Y.) and sophomore Brandon Weiner (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro).
AIC concludes its fall season at the New England Intercollegiate
Golf Association Championships Oct. 22-23 at the The Captain's Golf
Club in Brewster, Mass.
