Tyngsboro, Mass. - The American International College golf team placed ninth of 12 teams at the Northeast 10 golf championship, hosted by UMass-Lowell at Vesper Country Club, with a team score of 644 (309-335). Freshman Andrew Mesheau (Monson, Mass.) earned second-team all-conference honors after leading the Yellow Jackets with a two-round score of 154 (76-78).
Junior Chad Richardson (Regina, Sask.) posted AICs second-best score of the championship with a 157 (79-78), while freshman Garrett Beyor (Monson, Mass.) posted a two-round total of 163 (75-88). Sophomore Mike McMillan's (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) 170 (79-91) rounded out the Yellow Jacket's top-four.
The golf team will next compete at the Franklin Pierce Invitational Oct. 16 at The Shattuck in Jaffrey, N.H.
