Men's Golf Places Eighth at Dowling

Riverhead, N.Y. - The American International College men's golf team placed eighth of 16 teams at Dowling's Peter King Memorial Golf Tournament Monday at the par-71 Long Island National Golf Club with a two-day team score of 639. Freshman Garrett Beyor (Monson, Mass.) was the individual runner-up with a five-over 147 (73-74).

Freshman Kent Graham (Kamuela, Hawaii) tied for 35th with a two-day total of 160 (78-82) and junior Chad Richardson (Regina, Sask.) tied for 40th with a 161 (78-83). Sophomore Andrew Mesheau (Monson, Mass.) tied for 64th with a 173 (86-87) and Mike Leahy (Dorchester, Mass.) rounded out AIC's scoring with a 181 after shooting an 85 on day-two, 11 strokes better than his day-one total.

The Yellow Jackets will next compete at the Le Moyne Invitational at Sunset Ridge Country Club April 12-13.
