Southern New Hampshire beats Men's Lacrosse 21-3
Manchester, N.H. - The American
International College Men's lacrosse team lost a Northeast-10
battle to Southern New Hampshire 21-3 on Wednesday afternoon. The
loss brings the Yellow Jackets record to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the
Northeast-10. With the win the Penmen improve to 2-2 overall
and 1-1 in the Northeast-10.
AIC was down 6-0 in the first quarter when freshman Aaron McNab (West Springfield, Mass.) put the Yellow Jackets on the board scoring unassisted. Freshman Alex Casparius (Portland, Maine) also scored in the first quarter and AIC went into the half down 9-2. The Yellow Jackets would not score again until the fourth quarter when senior Leon Mularski (Wallingford, Conn.) scored AIC's final goal of the day.
Sophomore Mike Ball (Salem, N.H.) led Southern New Hampshire scoring seven times, while senior Spencer Rennick (Peabody, Mass.) scored five goals and had 3 assists. Freshman Kieth Merluzzo (Billerica, Mass.) scored three time and added five assists for the Penman.
Freshman Mark Taylor (North Andover, Mass.) started for the Yellow Jackets making two saves. He would be replaced by classmate Max Castleman (Wilbraham, Mass.) who made 10 saves.
Next up AIC will host Le Moyne on April 6th at noon.
