AIC TOPS BRYANT 2-1

BOX SCORE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 22, 2005) - Akill Jules (Port of Spain, Trinidad) scored with two minutes left to lift the American International College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Bryant Saturday.  With the win AIC tied the school record for wins in a season and improved to 8-5-2 overall and 6-4-2 in the Northeast-10, while the Bulldogs saw a five-game unbeaten streak end and fall to 7-5-4 and 6-4-3 in the league.

Bryant scored just 6:39 into the match when Dan Claus scored an unassisted tally by sneaking a ball inside the right post.  The Yellow Jackets tied the game 5:20 later when Marek Przybylek (Olsztyn, Poland) scored on a restart with Ryan Hunt (Saugerties, N.Y.) assisting.  The game remained tied until Jules' tally with two minutes left.

Michael Murphy (Ithaca, N.Y.) made five saves in the win for AIC, while Alex Bissias made three saves for Bryant.

AIC returns to action Monday when it hosts Stonehill at 2:00.
