DUSZA, MURPHY SELECTED TO NEISL ALL-STAR GAME
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 27, 2007) - A pair of American
International College men's soccer players have been selected to
participate in the NEISL All-Star Game at Clark University on
Saturday, April 28. Seniors Norbert Dusza
(Holyoke, Mass.) and Michael Murphy (Ithaca, N.Y.)
have both been selected to play in the prestigious game, which
annually pits the top seniors in New England from all three
divisions against each other.
Dusza, one of AIC's captains along with Murphy, was named All-Conference for the third straight season, garnering Third Team accolades last season and Second Team honors in 2004. He was tied for the team lead in assists, handing out four helpers, including two in the Saint Rose triumph. His 15 career assists are the second-highest total in school history, trailing only the 20 Jamie Marques recorded from 1997-2000, and he has career totals of 13-15-41.
Murphy started 15 games in goal for the Yellow
Jackets this season and registered a 1.19 goals
against average and .824 save percentage with three shutouts, with
his save percentage ranking 26th in Division II.
He had three saves in a 2-0 blanking of nationally-ranked Southern
New Hampshire and finished his two-year career at AIC with seven
shutouts.
