CHARLES, DUSZA NAMED NSCAA ALL-NEW ENGLAND
RINDGE, N.H. (December 10, 2006) - Junior Chris Charles
(Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior Norbert Dusza (Holyoke, Mass.) of the
American International College men's soccer team were named to the
National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New
England team, it was announced recently. Charles was a First
Team selection, while Dusza was a Second Team choice.
Charles, who was a Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference choice and a Second Team Daktronics All-Region selection, led AIC in scoring with 11 goals and an assist for 23 points in his first season with the Yellow Jackets after transferring from Herkimer Community College,. He recorded a team-high four game-winning goals on the season and was named Northeast-10 Player of the Week on September 11 when he scored four goals in an 8-0 win over Saint Rose.
Dusza, a three-time All-Northeast-10 selection
during his career, served as one of AIC's captains along with
Michael Murphy this season. He was tied for the team lead in
assists, handing out four helpers, including two in the Saint Rose
triumph. His 15 career assists are the second-highest total
in school history, trailing only the 20 Jamie Marques recorded from
1997-2000, and he has career totals of 13-15-41.
