CHARLES, DUSZA NAMED NSCAA ALL-NEW ENGLAND

RINDGE, N.H. (December 10, 2006) - Junior Chris Charles (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior Norbert Dusza (Holyoke, Mass.) of the American International College men's soccer team were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New England team, it was announced recently.  Charles was a First Team selection, while Dusza was a Second Team choice.

Charles, who was a Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference choice and a Second Team Daktronics All-Region selection, led AIC in scoring with 11 goals and an assist for 23 points in his first season with the Yellow Jackets after transferring from Herkimer Community College,.  He recorded a team-high four game-winning goals on the season and was named Northeast-10 Player of the Week on September 11 when he scored four goals in an 8-0 win over Saint Rose.

Dusza, a three-time All-Northeast-10 selection during his career, served as one of AIC's captains along with Michael Murphy this season.  He was tied for the team lead in assists, handing out four helpers, including two in the Saint Rose triumph.  His 15 career assists are the second-highest total in school history, trailing only the 20 Jamie Marques recorded from 1997-2000, and he has career totals of 13-15-41.
