Men's Tennis Drops 5-4 Decision at Pace
Pleasantville, N.Y. - The American International College men's
tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at Pace Monday, bringing its
record to 0-2 on the season and 0-2 in the Northeast-10. Senior
Sven Pfeffercorn (Ludlow, Mass.) was a singles and doubles winner
for the Yellow Jackets.
He was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at fourth singles over junior Jose Caceres (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) and teamed with sophomore Max Collins (Westfield, Mass.) for an 8-4 win at second doubles over junior Andrew Hagan (Middle Village, N.Y.) and sophomore Garrett Boyd (Holbrook, N.Y.).
Senior Peter Amlof (Kennett Square, Pa.) was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at first singles over Boyd.
The Yellow Jackets next travel to Springfield Wednesday for a
3:30 p.m. contest.
