Clearmont, Fla. - The American International College softball team improved to 4-3 on the season after downing Ferris State 5-2 in eight innings at the USA Softball National Training Center Wednesday afternoon. Kellie Brown (Gill, Mass.) followed her monster game yesterday with another great performance Wednesday, hammering a two-run homerun in the bottom of the eighth inning to win the game for AIC.

With the Yellow Jackets trailing by a run in the seventh inning with two outs, Ashley Deegan (Madison, Conn.) cranked a single and Nicole Benoit (Walpole, Mass.) followed with a double to the tie the score and send the game into extra innings. In the eighth it was Brown who came up with the heroics smashing a two-run homerun to win the game for AIC.

Sara Swepston (Dallas, Pa.) pitched all eight innings earning the win for AIC.

The Yellow Jackets will conclude their stint in Florida with a doubleheader against Bentley tomorrow afternoon. The first game starts at 9:30 am.
